Department of education provides assistive technology (AT) from kindergarten to grade 12th as below:

Taipei City South Special Education Resources Center and Taipei City North Special Education Resources Center :

Wheelchairs, Power Wheelchairs, Walkers, Forearm Crutches, Gait Trainer Devices, Special-Designed Desks and Chairs, Positioning Chairs, Adjustable Desk, Standing Frame, Stretch Boards, Gaiter, Cushion Seat.

Taipei Resource Center for the Visual Impairment :

Braille Machines, Mice for Blind, Video Magnifier, Reading Shutter, Magnifying Glass, Binoculars, Braille Display, Reading Rack, Braille Printer, Stereo Thermal Printer.

Taipei Resource Center for the Hearing Impaired :

Micro Communication Board ( portable ), Microcomputer Communication Board ( scanning ), Interaction Learning Assessment Test System U4, Programmable Input System U2i, Computer Communication System (PC-UAAC), Palmtop Communication System (PPC-UAAC), Cooperative Learning System T33, AAC communication System Popular Version, AAC Communication System Professional, Graphic Masters Apple Pie PMLS, Graphic Guru Apple Pie PMLS-Player, Audio Ink, Sound Ink - Players, Tablet Personal Computer, Communication Pens R PEN, A Single Sentence Recordable Communication, FM, etc.

1. Assistive technology for kindergarten students: Evaluated-form is provided by the kindergarten.
2. Assistive technology for elementary school, junior high school, or senior high school students: Evaluated-form is provided by schools.
3. Assistive Technology for visual impairment students: After evaluation from itinerant teachers for the visual impairment, applicant provides application form and the receipt of borrower.
4. Assistive Technology for hearing impairment students : Fill-out evaluated results and application form with audiologists and special education teachers.

-Responsible for Assistive Technology of kindergarten students.

Taipei City North Special Education Resources Center:

-Responsible for Assistive Technology of Elementary School students、Junior High School students and Senior High School students.

Taipei Resource Center for the Visual Impairment:

-Responsible for Assistive Technology of K-12 students.

Taipei Resource Center for the Hearing Impaired:
